Leopard is a Neutral, Right?

I have seen Leopard everywhere as a transitional neutral as we approach Fall. I’ve been on maternity leave this summer but will be returning to the office very soon. Post-partum I am all about comfort but also want to look put-together.

I found this perfect back to work outfit at Goodwill and couldn’t believe how comfortable it is. I love that I can get brand name clothing at a fraction of the cost when thrifting.

What are your thoughts on Leopard? Any helpful advice on returning to work after having a baby? Let me know in the comments.

New Kitchen, Who Dis?

I know, it’s been a minute (more like a couple years). I have moved to Atlanta, started a new job, gotten married, gone on several international trips, and am now eight months pregnant with a baby boy.

Once we found out there was a baby on board, we decided some house projects were in order before baby’s arrival. Small ones like painting, and the largest – a new kitchen.

I love all the additional storage as well as the subway tile backsplash. Additional perk – the undivided sink will be perfect for a baby bath.

Now that the kitchen is done I can focus on organizing and reorganizing the baby’s room before his big arrival.

Mardi Gras Purple

If I could make it Spring with my outfit, then this one would do the trick.

I found this dress on ThreadUp last month and it took me a minute to figure out how to wear to work. The neckline was slightly lower than I had anticipated, but the skirt length and pockets had me persevere to figure out the neckline. Viola! This NY&Company cami with a floral accent neckline worked perfectly. Then add a sweater, belted, and I was loving it!

Bonus: I wore it on Fat Tuesday and the dress is Mardi Gras purple 👏🏻

My New Obsession

I may have a new obsession…ThreadUp.

As someone who has loved a good deal her whole life, at first I was hesitant about ThreadUp. Why? Because I wasn’t sure about buying online.

But ThreadUp does a fantastic job describing the fit and sizing on all their items. I’ve place several orders over the last couple months and have not needed to return anything.

This past weekend, the husband and I went out for a special birthday dinner. We went to a restaurant that had been our list for months.

I paired this new floral, bell sleeves dress from ThreadUp with my favorite pair of gladiator heels and Michael Kors hoops. The perfect outfit for date night.

Have you had success with online shopping? Have you tried ThreadUp? Let me know in the comments.

Sparkle for a Dreary Day

I’ve been in an accessories mood lately. After Christmas, which yielded several gift cards, I spent a couple hours wandering the rows in my local TJ Maxx.

I ended up in the jewelry department and out of the corner of my eye saw this beauty…on CLEARANCE!

At first I thought it was too much sparkle for work, but have since paired it with a chambray button up and polka dot black skirt.

The sparkle makes me feel as if I’m wearing a tiara around my neck. And can brighten even the most dreary day.

How would you style this necklace? I’m always looking for more ideas ~ EJ

Island Life

Between Christmas, New Years and our belated honeymoon the last month has been on the go.

We started our belated honeymoon on Oahu and can anyone say gorgeous!! The island has the beach sunset views you would imagine, and also an inner rainforest which yields amazing sights.

My husband snapped this picture our first morning on the island. It was misting and we walked the beach and stopped on the pier to admire Diamond Head Crater.

We hiked Diamond Head Crater later in the trip and the views from the summit were worth the trek. Definitely a must do for any Oahu traveler.

There are so many other beautiful hikes and views on Oahu. Even though we were there for almost a week, we couldn’t see everything. No complaints if we need to plan another trip.

Until next time ~ E

Online Thrifting

I’ve had the ThreadUp app for a couple of months and finally took the plunge and placed an order.

I was looking for a couple of new dresses for our belated honeymoon including a dress for New Years Eve in Hawaii. These two dresses were new with tags and my first order was 40% off.

This dress is from Xhiliration and the neckline is what sold me. I plan to wear it with heels and statement earrings to our New Years Eve luau in Hawaii.

A tie knot dress is a wardrobe necessity and this Ambercrobie and Fitch made the cut. Wear with Vans and zip-up for sightseeing or wedges and a jean jacket for a casual dinner.

Take Me Away

I love to travel both domestic and international. Later this year my husband and I are going to Hawaii and Australia for a belated Honeymoon and I am beyond excited.

Knowing of my upcoming trip, my friend from work got me these travel necessities from Anthropologie for our Secret Santa exchange.

I was thrilled not only because they are beautiful but because my passport and luggage will be easy to spot with these bright floral prints.

What are some of your travel necessities?

Office to Holiday Party

Thanksgiving is over and the Christmas season is quickly approaching. That means Holiday parties at work, with friends, and with family. Outfits that can go straight from work to Holiday party are a must during this busy season.

I snagged these burgundy straight leg pants and teal lace top at TJ Maxx on major clearance this past weekend. The jewel tones are work appropriate but paired with these Vince Camuto leopard  print heels and gold accessories you’ll be  ready for any Holiday party.

Did you find any great deals over Thanksgiving weekend? Any Work to Holiday outfits you’re ready to try?

Plaid, Park & Pals

Life has been quite busy and stressful lately. This was the first weekend in a month that the Husband didn’t have to work and we didn’t have prior commitments. So, when our friends asked if we wanted to go play football in the park it was a no brainer.

The weather was in the 50’s so it was the perfect temp for this plaid blanket scarf to cozy up while cheering on the husband in a touch tackle game.

What are some of your favorite relaxing weekend activities? Tell me in the comments 😊
